Your First Visits

What to Expect

When arriving at ChiroWorks Bayside our goal is to make you feel comfortable and at home. The purpose of your first visit is to make sure that you are in the right place to get the care that you need.

Consultation

In your first consultation with us we will discuss your health-related problems and concerns as well as potential care options. Your first visit is designed for our Doctor's to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will help you meet your goals and health potential.

Examination

After your consultation, our team will perform a complete chiropractic examination. This will include a postural exam, balance assessment and both orthopaedic and neurological testing. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

Rolling Thermography Evaluation

At ChiroWorks Bayside we offer the latest in state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic technology. Our totally non-invasive "Insight Millennium" rolling Thermograph scientifically evaluates the part of your nerve system that controls your organs and glands. The part of your Nerve System that you don’t feel.
These tests scientifically evaluate how your nervous system is functioning. And remember these tests are totally safe and non-invasive, they simply take a reading from the surface of your skin! Our technology allows you to know and see if you currently have any nerve dysfunction (interference).

X-Ray

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to get a full evaluation of your Subluxation pattern. If x-rays are necessary these will be taken in-house here at ChiroWorks. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions and assist us in developing the most effective care plan for you.  Most people are amazed at their x-rays and can often immediately identify their Subluxations and degeneration themselves.

Your Report of Findings

Once the consultation and x-rays have been completed, our team will schedule a Report of Findings at the next available time so that our Doctor's can review your case and establish if you are eligible for chiropractic care and Subluxation Correction.

Chiropractic Care

If Dr Alan determines that you can benefit from Chiropractic care, he will give recommendations that may consist of three phases or types of chiropractic care, which you can choose from, depending on your health goals: Relief, Corrective and Wellness.

Relief Care - When your symptoms are most intense, our care helps to reduce the symptoms and inflammation. This often includes advice or strategies you can adopt between visits.

Corrective Care - helps you achieve increased function and mobility after your symptoms are either gone or have significantly improved. We then focus on strengthening the spinal structures in their best positions and ensuring that correction is maintained. You should notice improved strength and mobility, as well as increased energy and function.

Wellness Lifestyle Care - when you have achieved optimal health. At this point, you may choose to schedule periodic Chiropractic checkups and care to help maintain your health and prevent new injuries or problems from developing.
